The Role Group team are diligent in sourcing skilled and reliable trades and labour. Our current database consists of highly skilled operatives who have been assessed via our stringent vetting processes. The skills held by our operatives are reviewed on a regular basis with training offered to those who require renewals or upskilling via our in-house training company, Role Training Ltd. As a result of our synergetic recruitment and compliance strategies, we have the ability to provide clients with multi-skilled and flexible operatives at relatively short notice.

As a team of experienced recruiters, Role Group have a vast number of years’ experience under their belts. Our team are familiar with the regulations and compliance requirements that are a part of every construction project in the UK. On previous projects, we have built strong relationships with a variety of skilled tradespeople and are seen as a valued and reliable supplier within the sector. Our team has collectively transformed our expertise and knowledge into a respectable and dependable recruitment firm.

We have collaborated with our clients on some of the most high-profile projects in the UK. We have provided trades and labour, as well as logistical staff, to projects such as the Southall Waterside, Imperial College London, Highbury Corner Tunnels, Waterloo Platform Extension and the AMP 6 Framework. We are currently preparing our workforce to participate in the new AMP 7 Framework which will see Role Group provide trades and labour, logistical staff, confined spaces operatives and specialised utilities teams.

Client: Walker Construction

Old Oak Common

This project forms part of the enabling works for HS2 where our client is tasked with enabling, groundworks and bridge replacements. Works will interface with Network Rail and London underground with all upskilling of operatives performed in house for the benefit of the project. Our teams will be on site until late 2024.

Battersea Power Station

Role Group has provided trades and labour to help Careys on this iconic build at Battersea Power Station. Works included, paving with York stone and granite, groundworks such at ducting, kerbs, concrete foundations including steel works
Client: Morrison Water Services

Minor Capital Works

In April 2023 we were awarded a place on the Morrison Water services framework to provide full traffic management set up and maintenance cover London and Thames Valley. This involves setting up of various TM set ups from 2/3/4 way to Lane/Road closures to Ped crossings and daily maintenance of all. This framework will last for up to 8 years

Occupational Health Services

Role Training have been providing Lanes for Drains with Railway Medical’s, Drugs and Alcohol Testing, and Fit for Work Medical assessments.

University of Essex

Role are currently providing professional services for project management and skilled trades for finishing works at the University as they renovate the external landscape of the university

Avon Way, Didcot

Role provided multiple phases of set ups for this scheme over a 12 month period. The client was creating new site entrances on 2 roundabouts in the area and 2, 3 and 4 way set ups were required at various times including lane closures and diversions. All design and council applications were provided by Role.

Northampton to Rugby Troughing Routes

We are providing gangs on this route works to facilitate the replacement and upgrading of the troughing route. We have multiple gangs working days, nights and weekends. This will be a 2-year project.
Highbury Corner project
Client: Walker UK Construction/Network Rail

AVA Bridge

The bridge provides significant reductions in material and build time with offsite manufacture and minimum impact onsite during assembly. It is designed to be different, the configurable nature of the bridge design means that AVA can fit any station, anywhere.

Highbury Corner Tunnels

The road over rail bridge sits over 2 busy rail lines and the Highbury & Islington Overground station, and despite the complexities of the project, the build resulted in a minimal 195-hour rail possession.

Clarence Avenue

We are currently providing a 2 way set up with 2 ped crossings and man on sire services and night security on the scheme in Clapham, London. This is a 2 year project which we have designed, installed and are managing for the client.

As part of the Agility Alliance framework we have delivered multiple Traffic Management set-ups across the infrastructure covering London and the Thames Valley region ranging from 2/3/4 way set-ups to road closures and diversion routes.

Agility Alliance

The scope of works includes the following; clean water network repair, rehabilitation and maintenance and leak detection, along with constructing new water mains. The aim of the alliance is to drive down leakages and reduce disruption to Thames Water customers by repairing, maintaining and reactivating water networks.

Role Group are currently providing professional services for project management and skilled trades to the innovative Scale Space Buildings at Imperial College London.

Client: Walker Construction

Wessex Capacity Alliance

The alliance worked in collaboration to provide the full design and construction to bring the Waterloo International terminal back into use. The full extent of the project included platform modifications at Waterloo station and improvements to the outlying stations and rail systems.

Highbury Corner Tunnels

Role Group won the prestigious contract for the Highbury Corner project to provide skilled and experienced rail operatives to the TfL’s Structures and Tunnels Investment Portfolio (STIP). The project involved the demolition and reconstruction of Highbury Corner bridge, which carries the A1 highway.
